I love the challenges and opportunities different generations bring in families and society. However, what is even more interesting is how organisations respond to the different needs of each generation in the workplace and how this links to the success of the business.
With Generation Y - the group of people born after 1980 and before 2000 now representing 35% of the workforce, employers have probably adapted their organisations to meet their needs and doing this very well.
But what about Generation Z who are just starting out on their careers? Being the first generation who have grown up with technology at their fingertips, they have never known a world without the internet.
How prepared are organisations to adjust to the new challenges and let's not forget the opportunities this will bring? Those who are ahead of the game and have started adapting their attraction, recruitment, engagement & retention activities will be the ones to survive.
Career Seekers Direct work with businesses to get them ready for these changes. I am delivering a Free talk for businesses at the Coventry & Warwickshire Business Festival 2018 on this very subject on 29th November 2018.
