A Buzzing Hall and Over 100 Learners Exploring Their Future at Brooke School

Friday 13th March

Our recent careers workshop at Brooke School was one of those days that reminds us exactly why experiential, hands‑on career learning matters.

Across Early Years through to Post‑16, more than 100 learners took part in a fully immersive careers experience focused on Retail, Logistics and Construction. The hall was transformed into a sensory, practical environment where every learner could explore at their own pace — building, testing, trying, and discovering.

From the very first session, the excitement was unmistakable. Learners were curious, confident, and eager to get involved. One standout moment came from the school’s Career Leader, Alice Heggs, who shared:

“It was everything I wished for and more. All our learners got something from it. There was an incredible buzz around the school and the students have said it was so much fun.”

That buzz carried on throughout the day. Staff told us how many learners were proudly sharing what they’d done — including one who couldn’t wait to announce,

It was sooooo much fun. I drove a lorry!”

The sensory, hands‑on nature of the activities made a real difference. Learners stayed engaged from start to finish, showing teamwork, creativity and genuine enthusiasm for exploring new career pathways.

At Career Seekers Direct, we believe that career learning should be accessible, meaningful and exciting for every young person. Brooke School’s learners proved that when you create the right environment, every student can connect with their future in a way that feels real and empowering.
