We are delighted to share some fantastic news. Following a comprehensive external review, we have successfully been awarded the matrix Standard for another three years.

The matrix Standard, recognised by the Department for Education, is the national quality standard for organisations delivering high-quality information, advice and guidance (IAG). Achieving this accreditation demonstrates our ongoing commitment to ensuring that the services we provide to young people, schools and partner organisations are effective, responsive and of the highest possible quality.
The review process involved a thorough 360-degree assessment carried out by an external assessor. This included conversations with our team, service users and partner organisations, all of whom shared valuable insights into the impact of our work.
We were especially proud to receive such positive feedback from our partners. One described us as a “flexible and personable” organisation that is “always open to feedback and ideas on how things can be done even better.” Another noted that “CSD are strongly person-centred, and always match their approach in providing IAG support to the often complex and varying needs of our individual students.”
This recognition would not have been possible without the continued support of the schools, organisations and individuals we work with. I would like to extend a sincere thank you to the users of our service, our partner schools and organisations, and of course our dedicated team who work tirelessly to deliver meaningful support and opportunities for young people.
Since setting out on this journey in 2017, our goal has been clear: to strengthen careers education and provide high-quality guidance that helps young people and young adults make informed decisions about their future education, employment or training. Careers education plays a vital role in helping individuals understand their options, build confidence and navigate the pathways available to them.
We are incredibly proud that our work continues to be recognised through the matrix Standard and remain committed to continuously improving the services we provide.
As we look ahead, we are excited to continue developing our work, strengthening partnerships and supporting even more young people to explore their potential and shape their futures.
Here’s to continuing the journey—supporting aspirations and changing lives.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our work. Together, we are helping young people build brighter futures.
